Economy |
I am rather disappointed to only be getting 30 to 32 mpg
I would have expected the computer controlled, high pressure injection system to be far more economical |

Performance |
Well it goes well In Germany, where there are no speed limits on the Autobahn, the Caravelle would easily exceed 100 mph (
True as checked with the GPS )
The speedometer reads about 2% fast.
At 2000 rpm, we are travelling at near 70 mph in 6th gear, giving a accurate gearing of 34 MPH / 1000 rpm. |

Cab Layout |
I think VW must have forgotten to look at this when they built the Caravelle T5. The lack of ergonomic thinking
is unbelievable. Every surface slopes.
No matter where you put things, it falls off.
The door pockets do not take a drinks bottle, and things fall out of the front segment.
There is nowhere good for the driver to keep a drink, the tiny fiddly fold out cup holder is well out of sight.
