OK So now we have bought the Caravelle, the job's not finished
Insurance
The Choices Fortunately there are many companies quoting for the Caravelle.
For me Quotes came in from £375 to £800+
I needed to be wary about the high mileage we do, especially abroad.  I need to be sure that we would be covered properly in Europe.
I chose Volkswagen Insurance because of the definite statement that they would only use Genuine Volkswagen parts.  I've seen some horrendous windscreens, made out of very ripply glass.  I want Genuine VW parts.

THEY CANCELLED
THE
INSURANCE
 Thursday morning, without any warning I got an email from Volkswagen Insurance to say that the Insurance was cancelled with immediate effect.
NO PHONE CALL

Fortunately we were at home.
Had we been away, even at the far end of Europe, we could have been arrested for not having Insurance!!!

I seems the Co-op, my previous insurer, had sent details of my previous record to Volkswagen Insurance without thinking.
They listed 6 claims in the past 5 years.
They did not mention that 5 of the claims were windscreen repairs.

Great Stress, furious phone calls, Co-op phoned Volkswagen Insurance and explained.
Insurance re-instated, but I had to pay an extra £81.41 because they said I did not declare the crash claim correctly.

I don't think Volkswagen Insurance are a customer orientated company
