- Eurotunnel. Because the ferry operators try to say the Tourneo is a minibus and charge a fortune, the journey is not weather affected, very
smooth and so easy. Also picking the times and being a shareholder makes crossings cheaper than the ferries.
- We will stay at The B+B HotelB+B Hotel in Calais, because I like the breakfast they put on.

- We will stay are The Etap hotel, just off the motorway, at Flensburg. It is cheaper than Denmark
and very easy to get an early start the next morning

|
Choice of route and ferry here
- Main E6 Road, ferry from Bognes to Skarberget, approx every hour, cost NOK 147
- Route through Drag, Route 827 seems straighter, through lots of tunnels, is 10km shorter than the E6.
Ferry from Drag to Kjopsvik, approx every 3 hours at 7am, 10am,11am,1pm,4pm,7pm and 9:45pm. Cost NOK 194

- We will bypass Tromso. As it seems to be very busy with the Midnight Sun Marathon
- We will stay in a cabin in Skibotn

|
- NordKapp tunnel 68 Kroner Toll
- We will stay in a room at MiniMotellet, Bed and Breakfast
- We will arrive at Nordkapp in time to be at the Top of Europe for the Solstice at midnight, which is 00:00 on 21st June
- The Solstice in 2008 is rather strangely timed as it occurs exactly at midnight on 20th June, also known as 00:00 on 21st June.
Initially I was confused by the term "Midnight" and some information I picked up refered to midnight on 21st, when actually it is the first
midnight not the second midnight.
